INTRODUCTION: KAYACHIKITSA DEPT

Department of PG STUDIES IN KAYACHIKITSA was started in the year 1996 under the leadership of Dr S B HIREMATH, Foundation for medical skills, teaching, bedside clinics and treatment were laid during his period. Department of KAYA CHIKITSA reached peaks during the period of Dr SUBBANAGOUDA and DR M A HULLUR, who where known as Teacher of Teachers. Many of his students still remember their teaching skills and have reached highest academic excellence across the globe who redefined the art of AYURVEDA.

Presently, Dr. PRASHANTH A S , Professor of KAYA CHIKITSA is the Head of the Department and leads the galaxy of able teachers in the department .

The department is housed in the ground floor of the hospital building with 3 OPD S strength of 50 Beds which is well upgraded. The P. G. Dept. started PhD course in Kayachikitsa in 2013 with 04 students.
